(COLUMBUS) - A drunk Columbus woman was arrested for wandering into another person’s home and sitting down on their couch in the middle of the night.
Sgt. Matt Harris with Columbus Police Department says that officers were called to the 1900 block of Newton Street at about 1 a.m. Friday.
Forty-eight-year-old Kelly Helander allegedly walked into the home and refused to leave. A breath test revealed a blood alcohol level of .15 - almost twice the legal limit for driving.
The homeowner told police he didn't know Helander and had not given her permission to enter the house.
She was arrested on a preliminary charge of residential entry.
