(FRANKFORT) - A 20-year-old central Indiana father has been charged in the death of his 6-week-old child.
Frankfort police have arrested Cody Brown preliminary charges of neglect of a dependent resulting in death and battery resulting in death to a person less than 14 years of age. Police Chief Troy Bacon says the child had been at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis with severe head injuries since July 26. The child died Thursday.
Police said the infant was hurt while in the care of his father.
Brown is being held at the Clinton County Jail awaiting formal charges. It was not known if he has hired an attorney.
