(INDIANAPOLIS) - The City of Indianapolis is taking another step in its push for rapid transit Wednesday.
Mayor Greg Ballard and community leaders are launching a public awareness and outreach campaign for the so-called Red Line. It's the metro area's "first rapid transit line" that aims to connect Greenwood and Indianapolis to the south and Carmel and Westfield up north.
The newly created Central Indiana Regional Development Authority says the Red Line is a top economic development priority for the region.
