(INDIANAPOLIS) - Former Subway Spokesperson Jared Fogle may be positioning to defend himself in federal court.
Sources tell WTHR News that his family friend and entertainment attorney have reportedly put together a criminal defense team.
During an FBI raid at Fogle's Zionsville home, Attorney Ron Elberger told Eyewitness News Fogle is handling being the target of a child pornography investigation with the support of his family, and that Jared would eventually return to his Zionsville home to live a normal life as much as possible.
Task force officers from the Cyber Crimes Against Children Unit served a search warrant at Fogle's home.
Officers removed computers, tablets and DVDs from the house during the raid.
A source confirmed the raid is connected to a child pornography investigation in which Russell Taylor, the executive director of the Jared Foundation, faces federal charges after a raid at his home.
Task force officers are still conducting forensic analysis on Fogle's personal property confiscated during the raid.
The same source confirmed that obtaining subpoenas on a cell phone for text messages and/or conversations is standard operating procedure for cyber crime investigations.
Jared Fogle has not been charged nor arrested as part of the ongoing investigation.
