(MONON) - Authorities say 12 people were sent to hospitals after a bus carrying migrant workers crashed in White County.
White County Sheriff Patrick Shafer says the crash happened around 7 p.m. Tuesday just east of Monon, which is about 30 miles north of Lafayette. The bus carrying 20 passengers went off the road and landed on its side in a ditch.
Shafer says 10 people were taken to a Monticello hospital, while two people were transported to one in Lafayette. The other passengers and the driver declined medical treatment.
According to Shafer, the bus was taking people from a business in Remington to Grovertown.
