(INDIANAPOLIS) - A company that operates dozens of nursing homes across Indiana that fired its top executive last month after federal agents searched his home and company headquarters has fired another top officer and a third has resigned.
American Senior Communities issued a news release Friday saying that following the federal investigation and its own internal investigation, it has fired Chief Operating Officer Dan Benson. The company says Chief Financial Officer Roger Werner resigned effective immediately.
The company said it doesn't expect any more leadership departures.
American Senior Communities fired James Burkhart, its former chief executive officer, two weeks ago after FBI agents searched his Carmel home.
The company said it has launched a search to find interim and permanent replacements for all three positions.
