(BUTLER UNIVERSITY) - A man with a rifle robbed a person at gunpoint near Butler University’s campus early Wednesday morning.
The university sent out a tweet informing students at 12:33 a.m. Wednesday that police were investigating the 300 block of Buckingham Road.
A Butler police officer said a man told them he was walking on Buckingham Road when he was approached by a man in a white SUV with a rifle. It is unknown if the robber got anything of value.
Police were canvassing the area for the SUV.
Investigation ongoing, officers unable to locate suspect in area. Please call University police if you notice any suspicious activity.
