(INDIANAPOLIS) - Authorities in Indianapolis say a two-year-old boy is dead several days after he was hospitalized for severe injuries, including bruises all over his body, a bruised lung and brain injuries.
Indianapolis police said Sunday morning that Cameron Parks died. He was hospitalized last week.
Officers were called to the hospital by the Department of Child Services for a potential child abuse case. Authorities arrested 21-year-old DiQuan Williams on preliminary charges of aggravated battery and battery. No listed number for Williams could be located on Sunday.
In a news release on Sunday, police said the Marion County prosecutor's office is screening the case for enhancement of formal charges.
