(LAFAYETTE) - Lafayette police arrested one man early Monday morning after they say he tried to break into a ground level apartment.
According to WLFI, around 12:45 a.m., a Pheasant Run Apartments resident called dispatchers and told police someone had broken a window and was trying to get in their home.
Lt. Perry Amos said the man took off when police arrived but left behind an ID belonging to Brendan Jones of Lafayette. When police caught up to him, Jones was taken into custody.
He is facing a preliminary charge of attempted residential entry.
