(BARTHOLOMEW CO.) - A Taylorsville man is dead after a hit-and-run crash early Saturday morning.
The Bartholomew County Sheriff's Department says 45-year-old Dale Ayers was found dead in his crashed pickup truck off of Shady Lane and County Road 200W at around 3:10 a.m. Saturday morning.
Deputies had been called to the area after a report of a hit-and-run crash, where 44-year-old Michael Smiley of Flat Rock. says Ayers had struck his vehicle near Shady Lane and U.S. 31.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
