(CLINTON CO.) - Two people were found dead after firefighters extinguished a house fire in Clinton County Friday.
Perry Township Fire Chief Tracy Rose said the fire was reported at 3:20 p.m. by motorists who observed the blaze from nearby I-65.
The address is 4920 W. 500 South, which is about 4 miles northeast of Colfax.
Identification of the victims is pending an autopsy, scheduled for Saturday in Lafayette.
Six departments helped Perry Township at the scene. Crews were still at the scene at 9 p.m. Friday, including the state fire marshal's office.
