(EVANSVILLE) - Two people are in jail after police say they caused a disturbance at an Evansville business.
It happened around 8 Tuesday night at the Rural King on Morgan Ave.
When officers arrived they saw 23-year-old Andrew Houchin walking towards the front door. Police say he was shirtless and appeared to under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
When Houchin saw the officers, he laid down on the floor and told them that he was a fugitive and had felony warrants. The officers handcuffed him and determined he was indeed wanted on a several warrants, including ones for burglary and theft.
Officers found the second person, 24-year-old Brittany O'Daniel, in the back of the store.
We're told she was naked and throwing items as she walked through the store. An officer even saw her throw an animal trap cage at an employee.
Police say when the officer tried to take her into custody, O'Daniel threw a boxed space heater at him and then tried to walk away.
The officer told O'Daniel to get on the ground several times, but she continued to walk away so the officer used his Taser on her. She was then taken into custody without further incident.
EPD says Houchin was arrested for his warrants.
O'Daniel was arrested for public nudity, battery, resisting law enforcement, and disorderly conduct.
