(GREENTOWN) - Monday around 6 p.m. troopers from the Indiana State Police and officers of the Howard County Sheriff’s Department responded to a two vehicle crash on State Road 22 at County Road 700 East in which a Greentown woman died.
According to an accident investigation by Indiana State Police Troopers Jeremy Perez and Michael Biggs, 86-year-old Geraldine Brady, of Greentown was driving a 2000 Buick Century northbound on County Road 700 East. After stopping for a stop sign at the intersection of State Road 22, Brady allegedly pulled into the path of an eastbound 2010 Ford Fusion.
The Ford was driven by 42-year-old Eric Hall of Greentown. The Buick was hit in the driver's side door. Early evidence indicates that the Ford did not have its headlights on while traveling on the dark road.
Brady was pronounced dead at the crash scene.
20-year-old Jamison Gunn of Greentown, a passenger in the Buick, was taken to a Kokomo hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Hall also was injured and taken transported to a Kokomo hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing, but neither the use of alcohol nor narcotics is suspected as having contributed to the crash.
