(JASPER) - A Jasper man was arrested Friday afternoon after police say he pulled out a handgun during a family argument.
Dubois County Sheriff deputies and Jasper police were called to a home in the 600 block of West 400 North at about 12:30 p.m.
Police say a family member went to 56-year old John Schepers' home to talk to him about an incident that happened the night before.
Police say the two began arguing and that is when Schepers allegedly pulled out a .45 caliber semi-automatic pistol and pointed it at the family member.
Other family members at the house were able to knock the gun out of Schepers' hand and restrain him until police arrived.
Schepers was arrested on charge for Intimidation with a deadly weapon and pointing a loaded firearm.
