(JASPER) - A Jasper woman was arrested Sunday afternoon after an argument over a parking space escalated and became violent.
According to Jasper police officers were called about the incident just after 12:30 p.m.
Police say 50-year-old Kimberlie Phillingane got into an argument with a man over a parking space near 15th and Jackson streets.
After the fight both returned to their separate homes before police arrived.
However the man was injured during the confrontation with Phillingane.
Witnesses confirmed that Phillingane was the aggressor and she was arrested on a charge of battery.
She was taken to Memorial Hospital due to her level of intoxication, was medically cleared and then taken to jail.
