Mars Chocolate Recall Dove Chocolate Assortment Snowflakes

(MOUNT OLIVE, N.J) - Mars Chocolate of North America is issuing a voluntary recall of its Dove Chocolate Assortment Snowflakes sold in Wal-Marts across the country.

According to the company, about 6,700 bags of the chocolates are being recalled for fear of allergies.

Mars says the affected bags may contain Snickers, Milky Way, and Twix pieces, which could affect a person with egg, wheat, and peanut allergies. Those ingredients are also not listed on the packages ingredient label.

The packages were shipped to Wal-Mart and sold in the following states from Sept. 15, 2015 through Dec.1, 2015.

Mars Chocolate is working with the impacted retailer to ensure that the recalled product is removed from sale.
