(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indiana State Police are seeking the public’s help in finding a commercial vehicle involved in a deadly weekend crash along Interstate 70 in Indianapolis.
Police say 75-year-old Martha Southwick of Terre Haute was killed about 3:30 p.m. Saturday when an unknown commercial vehicle rear-ended her minivan, sending it across I-70's grassy median before it collided head-on with an oncoming car.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sgt. Rich Myers tells the Tribune-Star there is no video from highway department cameras showing the crash. He says police are hoping someone who witnessed the crash near the Interstate 465 interchange just east of the Indianapolis International Airport exit comes forward with information.
Myers says it's unknown whether a semitrailer, dump truck or box truck made the initial contact with Southwick's vehicle.
