(INDIANAPOLIS) - Two men were killed in an early morning accident Sunday.
According to an Indiana State troopers, the crash happened just after 2:30 a.m. on northbound Shadeland Avenue just south of Fall Creek Road.
Troopers say 37-year-old Henry Pierce Jr, of Indianapolis, was driving a 2016 Cadillac northbound on the collector ramp from I-465 northbound to Shadeland Avenue northbound and struck the guardrail on the east side of the roadway. It is not clear at this time if the vehicle re-entered the roadway and perhaps was a causation factor in this crash.
At the same time 25-year-old Reanna McCormick, of Indianapolis, was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Impala, northbound on the collector ramp from I-465 northbound to Shadeland Avenue northbound. For reasons unknown, the vehicle left the roadway went up on a small embankment, over and through a guardrail and landed on a 2002 Hyundai Sonata traveling southbound on Shadeland Avenue.

The Impala continued to roll and came to a stop inverted on top of a guard rail on the west side of the roadway.
McCormick and Mann were pronounced deceased at the scene by the Marion County Coroner's Office.
33-year-old Brenden Mills of Indianapolis, a front seat passenger in Mann's car, was taken to Eskenazi Hospital in critical condition.
Pierce Jr. was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of cocaine, operating while intoxicated and obstruction of justice.
