(INDIANAPOLIS) - New campaign fundraising figures show Indiana Republican Gov. Mike Pence and Democratic challenger John Gregg are both collecting much more money for their expected rematch than they did four years ago.
The Pence campaign said Monday it raised some $3.5 million during the last half of 2015, while Gregg's campaign announced raising nearly $2 million.
That is something of a rebound for Pence's campaign as Gregg collected slightly more money during the first half of 2015.
The Pence campaign says it ended 2015 with nearly $6.8 million in the bank, compared to $3.5 million for Gregg.
Both are well ahead of where they stood the year before the 2012 campaign, during which Pence spent about $13 million, more than doubling Gregg's $6 million.
