(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller officially filed his paperwork with the Secretary of State today to be a candidate for the United States House of Representatives from Indiana’s 9th District.
"I'm running for Congress to help change the direction of Washington, D.C., to bring conservative leadership that gets results for our country, our state and the people of the 9th District," said Zoeller. "As Attorney General, I have fought for Hoosiers and against federal overreach. Now it's time to take the fight to Washington."
Zoeller is a native of New Albany and is the only candidate who has served all of the people of the 9th Congressional District. Per Indiana Code 4-6-2-3, the Attorney General is required to reside in Indianapolis while holding the office. Therefore, the voter registration status indicated on today's filing reflects that requirement.
