(ST. LOUIS, MO.) - Purina issued a voluntary recall of the wet dog food after internal quality tests showed that the food doesn’t contain the promised amount of vitamins and minerals.
The company issued the recall last week. It covers 10-ounce tubs of Beneful Prepared Meals, Beneful Chopped Blends and Pro Plan Savory Meals brands. The company stated "that some of our 10-oz. wet dog food tubs may not contain the recommended level of added vitamins and minerals."

The company recommended that consumers return the product for a refund.
