(FRANKLIN CO.) - The Indiana State Police are looking into a Franklin County shooting that left one person dead and another seriously injured.
According to ISP, the deadly shooting happened just before 8 p.m. Saturday evening in rural Franklin County.
Police initially responded to the residence because of a shots fired call.
After arriving on scene, officers discovered one man dead inside the home. A second man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds was also found at the scene.
The man suffering from gunshot wounds, whose condition is unknown at this time, was transported to an Indianapolis hospital for his injuries.
State Police went on to say that the shooting appears to have stemmed from an altercation between the two men.
Police have not yet released the names and identities of those involved in the shooting.
