(JASPER) - A Jasper woman was arrested after Jasper Police says she was caught on video surveillance stealing money from the Jasper VFW Post No. 673.
Police arrested 69-year-old Rosalinda Ackerman, an employee of the VFW, on Sunday on a Level 5 felony count of burglary and theft.
According to police, officers were called to the VFW at 7:20 a.m. after cleaning personnel reported finding money trays out in the building. Police say the cash drawers had been removed from a locked area and the cash in the drawers was taken. Police say the burglary was taken after the business had closed and there was no forced entry to the building.
Police say Ackerman was caught on video taking more than $750.
Ackerman, of Jasper, was booked into the Dubois County Security Center just before 1 p.m. Sunday.
