Teen Shot In Hunting Accident

(FLOYD CO.) - A teenage girl is recovering after being accidentally shot during a hunting trip.

Deputies were called to the 6200 block of State Road 62 at 11:17 a.m. on Sunday. They found 13-year-old Alysee Defee shot in the armpit. She was taken to Kosair Children's Hospital in Louisville; her condition is being called stable.

Investigators said Defee had been hunting with Charles Ringo. The two were loading their equipment in a truck when a shotgun accidentally when off, hitting Defee.
