(COLUMBUS) - A Columbus man was arrested after he allegedly pulled out a gun and lied about being an officer while confronting a man in an alley near his home.

After arriving at the scene, an officer spoke with 26-year-old Taylor L. Talkington as well as the victim. The victim stated that he was walking down an alley to visit a friend when Talkington confronted him about looking in his garage.
The victim said that Talkington drew a firearm and identified himself as a Columbus police officer. The victim also stated that Talkington ordered him to get on his knees and put his hands on top of his head.
A firearm was recovered from Talkington and secured by officers. Talkington was later placed under arrest for Impersonating A Public Servant, and he was transported to the Bartholomew County Jail.
