(JASPER) - A domestic dispute landed a Jasper woman behind bars.
Jasper Police were called to a home in the 650 block of Genevieve Avenue at 10:50 p.m. Sunday.
When officers arrived they found a man with his face bleeding and a neck wound.
While speaking to the man, 40-year-old Kandra Knies, who resides at the address was belligerent with police and continued to make "rude physical contact with officers."
Knies then attempted to grab an officer's groin, at which point she was physically restrained and arrested. She continued to be belligerent and resisted officers after being placed in handcuffs.
Knies, who was intoxicated, was taken to Memorial Hospital for medical clearance. While at the hospital, police say Knies continued her belligerent even after numerous requests for her to cease.
The same belligerent behavior continued when Knies was booked into the Dubois County Security Center at 11:49 p.m.
She was arrested on a Level 6 felony charge of battery on a police, three misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct and misdemeanor counts of domestic battery and resisting arrest.
