Indiana Homeland Security Foundation Accepting Applications For Scholarship Program

(UNDATED) - The Indiana Homeland Security Foundation is now accepting applications for the Secure Indiana Scholarship Program. The deadline to apply is July 15, 2016.

Thirteen scholarships are available to reward Hoosiers who volunteer with public safety organizations. Scholarships are funded through the sale of "Secure Indiana" license plates and are made available to both full-time and part-time college students.

Eligible applicants must meet the following requirements:

A full-time student with at least 12 credit hours is eligible for a $2,000 scholarship and a part-time student with at least six credit hours is eligible for a $1,000 scholarship. The deadline to apply is July 15, 2016. Those who are interested in submitting an application can contact the Indiana Department of Homeland Security Grants Management at grants@dhs.in.gov.
