(JASPER) - The Jasper Police Department arrested a Terre Haute man on multiple charges after he allegedly contacted who he thought was a 13-year-old Jasper child to engage in sexual activities.
According to authorities, Michael S. Rowe thought he was communicating with a 13-year-old, when in reality he was talking to a decoy.
Rowe, a former Vigo County Corporation school custodian, set up a meeting with the decoy to have sexual relations - however that meeting never took place.
Terre Haute police arrested Rowe charging him with 10 counts of child solicitation and a count of dissemination of matter or conducting a performance harmful to minors.
Detectives do not believe there are any victims at the school where Rowe worked.
Rowe is being held in the Vigo County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
The Terre Haute Police Department issued a thank you to the Jasper Police Department for their assistance in the investigation.
