(INDIANAPOLIS) - A father was charged with murder of his six-week-old son Thursday morning.
Marion County Prosecutor Terry Curry announced Thursday that charges were filed against 19-year-old Isaac Hicks in the death of his son Zhion Hicks.
Police said on June 6 around 10 a.m. officers were sent to the 2900 block of North Gale Street on reports of an unresponsive child.
The child was transported to Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health, where he was pronounced dead.
Hicks faces the following charges:
An autopsy performed on Zhion found the cause of death was due to multiple blunt force trauma, according to a probable cause affidavit. It said the injuries were consistent with non-accidental injuries.
