(ALLEN COUNTY) - A man was rescued from a grain bin in Allen County Tuesday morning.
It took nearly 90 minutes for rescue crews to pull him out after he accidentally fell in.
Crews vacuumed out the grain and eventually were able to pull him out. He was airlifted to the hospital.
A family friend of the farm's owner told NewsChannel 15's that the man went into the grain bit through a side door to move around the grain when he stepped on an air pocket and the soybeans inside started burying him. The man said the soybeans enveloped the worker to his elbows.
Fortunately, the worker was able to reach his cell phone to call for help, the man said.
Officials said the man, who was not named, was okay.
