(ST. JOSEPH RIVER) - Indiana Conservation Officers have recovered the man from the Saint Joseph River just east of Ash Road in Elkhart County.
Conservation Officers utilized an underwater remotely operated vehicle (ROV) to locate the victim and Divers brought him to the surface.
The recovery was made in 15 feet of water at 1:18 a.m.; four hours after the initial 911 call came in to dispatch. The name of the victim is not being released pending notification of the family.
Conservation Officers were assisted at the scene by Elkhart County Sheriff's Department, Saint Joseph County Police, Osceola Police, Goshen Police, Norfolk Southern RR Police, Clevenland Township Fire Department, Baugo Township Fire Department and Baugo Township EMS.
