(BICKNELL) - The Bicknell Board of Works accepted a bid from Rod Mullins to demolish two more deteriorating properties as a part of the city’s blight elimination program.
Mullins submitted a bid for $12,500 for both properties. The houses set to be demolished are located at 212 West 6th Street and 702 West 5th Street.
Bicknell Mayor Thomas Estabrook expects the properties to be torn down within the next three to four weeks. Bicknell received $415,000 through the state's Hardest Hit fund to tear down homes deemed unsafe or abandoned.
To date 8 of the 18 homes targeted for demolition have been torn down.
