(WHITE CO.) - Police in White County seized a large haul of spice after pulling a driver over for speeding Wednesday afternoon.
According to Indiana State Police, Trooper Tyler Stinson stopped the black 2001 Jeep Cherokee on State Road 18 near County Road 300 around 3:45 p.m. Stinson smelled "the odor of drugs" coming from the vehicle and looked inside.
He found 20 pounds of spice in the vehicle and arrested the driver, 32-year-old Toby Jackson Gregory of Brookston. Preliminary charges against him include dealing synthetic marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and possession of synthetic drugs.
Gregory was taken to the White County Jail. Police said the investigation into the case is ongoing.
