(AUSTIN) - Back on June 3rd, officers from the Austin City Police Department and the Indiana State Police responded to a local business in Austin in reference to suspected meth being located on the ground inside the store.
The manager of the store stated a customer brought a small plastic baggie to the checkout cash register and stated they had found it on the floor inside of the store.
A subsequent search of store surveillance equipment was able to determine who had lost the suspected meth.
Troopers identified 23-year-old Brandy Neace of Scottsburg as that person. Brandy had already left the store when police arrived but was later located and interviewed by a trooper.
A case report was filed with the Scott County Prosecutor's Office and an arrest warrant was issued for her arrest.
On July 14th Neace was arrested and taken to the Scott County Jail on a felony charge of possession of meth.
