(KABUL, AFGHANISTAN) - U.S. Senator Joe Donnelly, who serves on the Senate Armed Services Committee, visited Hoosier service members serving in Afghanistan on the Fourth of July.
"It was an honor to spend Independence Day with Hoosiers who are serving in Afghanistan and working nonstop to keep our country safe and protect our freedoms," Donnelly says. "I couldn't be more proud of these men and women and wanted to thank them in person for their service and sacrifice."
Donnelly traveled to Afghanistan with a bipartisan delegation that also visited Israel and Pakistan.
