(BRAZIL) - The city of Brazil celebrates the homecoming of a loved landmark.
Many know and love the eagle monument that sat on the corner of State Road 40 and 59. That's also home to Eagles Lodge 274.
The monument was taken down about eight years ago because of the Highway 40 project.
Saturday, the city honored its resurrection as the eagle now sits proudly on its original post.
"Quite frankly this corner has just never been the same without that particular eagle standing here for us to see," said Mayor Brian Wyndham, "So it's a big deal to get it back here where it belongs."
Mayor Wyndham says the eagle has been in Brazil for 103 years. It was acquired by the Brazil Eagles in 1913.
