(NEWPORT) - A western Indiana judge has postponed until February the trial for a Cayuga man charged in connection with a triple-fatality crash.
The (Muncie) Star Press reports Ethan N. Lee's trial is now reset for Feb. 20. Proceedings had been scheduled for Oct. 17 in a Vermillion County court but Judge Bruce Stengel granted Lee's defense request for a continuance.
A grand jury indicted Lee on three counts of reckless homicide, among other charges. Authorities allege Lee was driving nearly 90 mph on Jan. 2, 2015, when his pickup truck crashed into an office building in Cayuga. Lee was 18 at the time of the crash.
Eighteen-year-old Annie Clark and 16-year-old Caroline Clark, sisters from Muncie, and 18-year-old Braeden Hollowell of Cayuga were killed in the crash.
