(JASPER) - Jasper police arrested a Dale woman after they say she committed to several break-ins that have occurred in the area.
Jasper police were investigating the report of a smash-and-grab in the Medical Arts parking lot on West 13th Street in Jasper that occurred on August 25. A purse was taken from a vehicle after a window was smashed. Police released information including photos of two possible suspects from security cameras.
During that investigation, officers learned the Ferdinand Police Department was investigating a similar type of vehicle break-in that occurred in the St. Ferdinand Church parking lot on August 28.
After receiving several tips on the identification of the individuals, a Jasper officer responded to the Stone's Motel in Dale with a deputy from the Spencer County Sheriff's Department on Tuesday and arrested 39-year-old Angela Dunn after she confessed to being involved to both vehicle break-ins.
Ferdinand police charged Dunn with a Level 6 felony count of theft and a misdemeanor count of assisting a criminal. Jasper police also charged her with one misdemeanor count of theft and a misdemeanor count of assisting a criminal.
The investigation is still underway and more arrests are expected.
