(DEKALB) - The Indiana State Police has arrested a 20-year-old Auburn man on one count of rape following a five month long investigation by State Police Detective Jake Quick.
Quick's investigation revealed that in April of this year, 20-year-old Baraka O. Branch of Auburn allegedly had sexual intercourse with an adult female victim at a residence in rural Waterloo, while the victim was unaware of what was occurring.
Quick began his investigation in early May of this year and worked closely with both the Fort Wayne Sexual Assault Treatment Center and the DeKalb County Prosecutor's Office. As a result of the cooperative effort, Branch is facing a Level 3 Felony.
