(CARMEL) - Pageant Associates is excited to announce the winners of the 2017 Miss Indiana USA and Miss Indiana Teen USA competitions.
After a weekend that showcased the accomplishments and dedication of young women across the state of Indiana, 26-year-old Brittany Winchester, of Indianapolis was crowned Miss Indiana USA 2017 and 18-year-old Paige Robinson, of Indianapolis was crowned Miss Indiana Teen USA 2017. Both of these young women will go on to represent the state of Indiana in the next round of competitions for the prestigious, nationally televised Miss USA and Miss Teen USA 2017 pageants.
"As a resident of Indiana, I am incredibly honored to represent the pride and glory of our wonderful state as Miss Indiana USA 2017," said Miss Winchester. "Through my participation in the pageants, I am overjoyed at the chance to showcase everything that living in our beautiful state and being a Hoosier means to me, and I pledge to continue to make Indiana proud."
The 2017 pageants were held in Carmel, October 22-23, 2016. The Palladium in the Center for the Performing Arts served as the venue for all pageant activities. Contestants were judged in three equal categories consisting of Personal Interview; Swimsuit for MISS and Active Wear for TEEN; and Evening Gown. The competitions shined a spotlight on some of the best, brightest and most accomplished young women throughout the state.
"The pageant brought together a group of amazingly talented, smart, confident, hard-working, kind and young women from every part of Indiana," said Miss Robinson. "I am extremely proud that I've been crowned Miss Indiana Teen USA 2017 and am excited for every step of this amazing journey and year ahead."
Titleholders will travel throughout Indiana making appearances and acting as ambassadors of the state at a variety of charitable events, social functions and more.
