(INDIANAPOLIS) - A federal court has blocked Indiana Governor Mike Pence’s attempt to ban Syrian refugees.
Pence was among dozens of governors who tried to block Syrian refugees from entering their states after the terror attacks in Paris last year.
The judge found Pence's ban "clearly discriminates against refugees from a war torn nation."
Pence's office says the move was a "protective step" and claims he had the "safety and security" of Indiana residents in mind when he issued the order.
