(MUNCIE) - One person died and two people were shot after a break-in occurred in Muncie Saturday morning.
RTV 6 reports shortly before 6:30 a.m. Saturday, two people broke into an apartment in the 1700 block of North Glenwood Avenue.
The pair were shortly discovered by those living in the residence. One of them was shot by suspects.
Police said a woman living in the home fired back at the intruders, killing one suspect, 22-year-old Trayon Lawaun Turner.
The second suspect fled the scene. Later that morning, a person with multiple gunshot wounds checked into the hospital for treatment.
Muncie officers said they believe they have found everyone involved in the break-in, but are not releasing the name of the second suspect at this time.
