(MONON) - Tuesday at approximately 10:45 a.m. the Alliance Bank at 319 North Market Street in Monon, was robbed of an undisclosed amount of money.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that a white male, approximately six feet one inch tall wearing a light gray stocking cap with a dark gray hooded sweatshirt and dark pants, walked into the bank and demanded money from one of the tellers. A handgun was displayed and after receiving the money the suspect left the bank heading south on Market Street.

Assisting at the scene were Troopers from the Indiana State Police at the Lafayette and Lowell Post, ISP Field Investigations Division from the Lafayette Post, Monon Police Department, White County Sheriff's Department, Pulaski County Sheriff's Department, Francesville Police Department and Brookston Police Department. The investigation is continuing.
