(LOUISVILLE) - The group overseeing tolling on the new Ohio River bridges has approved a resolution to begin taking tolls when testing is complete and state representatives sign off on it.
The Tolling Body for the Louisville-Southern Indiana Ohio River Bridges Project approved the resolution on Wednesday.
Indiana Deputy Transportation Commissioner Jim Stark says the RiverLink system is undergoing rigorous testing. Tolling will be implemented on the downtown Lincoln and Kennedy bridges and the new Louisville East End bridge.
Test vehicles will be crossing the East End, Kennedy and Lincoln bridges, as well as crossing under a gantry in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
A start date for tolling is expected to be announced after final testing has been completed.
