Huntingburg Woman Arrested After Kicking Officer, Threatening To Kill Another

(HUNTINGBURG) - Huntingburg police arrested an intoxicated woman after she allegedly kicked one police officer and threatened to kill another.

Officers were called to a home at 9:20 p.m. Thursday at Friendship Village off Schuler Avenue.

When police arrived they found 36-year-old Nikkie Camplin stumbling around.

Police say Camplin submitted to a portable breath test which showed her blood alcohol content at 0.28 percent.

Officer found a broken glass smoking device in her coat pocket.

While speaking to officers Camplin became combative and officers had to place her in leg restrains. While applying them one officer was kicked.

While transporting Camplin to Memorial Hospital in Jasper for medical clearance, she allegedly told one off she was going to kill him.

Once at the hospital. Camplin continued to be combative with both police and hospital staff.

After being cleared at the hospital, Camplin was transported to the Dubois County Security Center on felony charges of battery on a law enforcement officer causing injury, resisting law enforcement causing injury, attempted battery on emergency medical personnel and intimidation to a law enforcement officer and misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia.
