(FORT WAYNE) - A 28-year-old woman has been arrested in Fort Wayne in connection with the stabbings of an 11-month-old boy and the child’s mother.
The (Fort Wayne) Journal Gazette and WANE-TV report that Taja McCarter was being held Friday in the Allen County lockup.
The television station says McCarter is being held for resisting law enforcement, disorderly conduct, criminal recklessness and battery.
Authorities say 24-year-old Keairrase Lee was holding Keonn Lee when they were attacked. The boy was in critical condition and his mother good condition Friday at a hospital.
The stabbings appear to have followed an altercation late Thursday night or early Friday morning between the two women.
The Associated Press was not immediately able to learn Friday if McCarter is represented by an attorney.
