(VIGO CO.) - A Minnesota-based Select Genetics is planning to invest $22M into a new turkey hatchery in the Wabash Valley.
The company is looking to break ground on the Terre Haute operation next month and could add up to 100 jobs over the next year.
The Indiana Economic Development Corporation says the state ranked fourth in the U.S. in 2015 in turkey production.
The 83,000 square-foot facility in the Vigo County Industrial Park will be the company's ninth U.S. turkey operation.
Production is expected to begin in the spring of 2018.
