(TIPPECANOE CO.) - Friday, at approximately 7:30 a.m., officers from the Indiana State Police responded to a report of a body in the median on I-65 near the 165 mile marker, in Tippecanoe County.
When officers arrived they found the body of 55-year-old Robert Lee Reagan of Lebanon in the median.
Preliminary evidence indicates that Reagan's 2006 Toyota Prius had run out of gas near the 164 mile marker on I-65. Reagan started to walk towards the next exit and was struck by a vehicle approximately a half mile from where his car had run out of gas. The vehicle that struck Reagan fled the scene.
This case is still under investigation.
If anyone has information about Robert Reagan's death they are asked to contact Master Trooper Larry Mote by calling the Indiana State Police Lafayette Post at (765) 567-2125.
