(SPENCER CO.) - Indiana Conservation Officers are reporting a man was life-flighted after an ATV crash in Spencer County.
According to an Indiana State Police report, 56-year-old Mark Horn of Chrisney was operating an ATV that left the roadway for an unknown reason, causing him to be ejected off the vehicle. The ATV came back onto the roadway and rolled onto its side.
Residents near the accident scene called 911 and performed CPR until EMS arrived. The initial 911 call was received at 6:02 pm.
Horn was last reported to have been in serious, but stable condition.
The accident occurred on County Road 200 East, roughly 200 yards south of the State Road 70 intersection.
Horn was not wearing a helmet and alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor. The accident is still under investigation.
Responding agencies included Spencer County EMS, Chrisney Fire Department, Grand View Fire Department, Spencer County Sheriff's Department, St. Mary's Life-flight and Indiana Conservation Officers.
