(FLOYD CO.) - Sunday at approximately 10:58 p.m., Trooper Patrick Stinson stopped a vehicle on Interstate 64 at the 119 Mile Marker, at Georgetown after he clocked a vehicle speeding 94 miles per hour in a 55 miles per hour zone.
During his traffic stop investigation trooper Stinson determined the driver, 41-year-old Matthew S. Binegar, from Cliff Run Road in Bainbridge, OH, was driving under the influence of alcohol.
When trooper Stinson ran the driver and car information, he discovered the vehicle, a 2005 Nissan Sentra, was stolen from Sparta, KY earlier in the day.
Matthew S. Binegar was arrested and charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, reckless driving and driving while intoxicated. He was incarcerated at the Floyd County Jail.
